Anne-G, nice of you to befriend THIS old man, good woman!! :-)) Thanks for stopping by. We all do what we can, isn't it?

A very touching write-up. Life has gotten so busy that we don't have time to really listen to even our near and dear ones these days, so the plight of senior citizens in an age of nuclear families can only be imagined. As for me, I am reminded of my mortality when I set eyes on a lonely-looking old person...tho' the best I have done so far is give them a warm smile or exchange a sentence or two with them if I run into them at the grocery store...I'd like to believe that makes their day :)

Nice of you to befriend the grandma.
